Our home - in Canada's oil country
August 2021
Angel - born June 26, 2019
I was raised in Toronto Ontario, Canada. I gave my life to Christ at the age of 8.
My wife Mary and I celebrated our 36th anniversary in August 2023. Mary has the gift of hospitality. She is an amazing cook and baker. She loves nothing better than to prepare a full-on mega meal with all the trimmings for a crowd.
We have two great kids, Matt and Becky. Matt is a big marathon running enthusiast and has competed in various races across North America. Becky is an RN along with her husband. We are big-time dog lovers. In September 2019, Angel joined our family.
The Apostle Paul penned something amazing that impacted my life as a teen and birthed a passion for Pastoral ministry.
1 Timothy 4: 12 " Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young." What a powerful message!
My heart is to see people saved, Spirit-filled, encouraged, and serving God. As a Pastor, I feel so blessed to have sensed the call of God upon my life and been entrusted with sharing the message of the Gospel not only to teens but to young adults and all in our lost and dying world. People often hear me say "It's not about religion, it's about relationship."
God gave you and I the best in His universe - His Son Jesus who died in our place. Through personal faith and trust in Him, we can have that relationship that God wants us to have with Him.
I love hockey (like most Canadians eh!). I have an incredible love for music and jamming with my keyboard.
I have a passion for everything from News Boys, Skillet, Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline, For King and Country, Mercy Me, Kutless ...
After a massive brain trauma from a sporting injury at the age of 8, (check out my testimony on our "submit your stuff" page) I had to learn to walk all over and faced a ton of challenges against the odds. I was reminded by many people about my " limitations" but I discovered something incredible. WE SERVE A LIMITLESS GOD who has a complete, custom-designed life plan for each of us that He drew up in eternity past. Through His precious Holy Spirit, He equips, empowers, and leads us into that life plan and avenues of ministry as we walk in obedience and submission to Him.
I got my start in ministry in about 1984 and I'm so thankful for the many godly mentors that have been a part of my life. In particular, my former Youth Pastor and mentor, Rev. Chuck Price who still continues to encourage and inspire me today! (Check out Chuck's site below).

“Jesus is not about religion”
Jesus does not ask us to follow religion, He asks us to follow Him.
We’ve all sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Because of our sin condition that we are born with, we are separated from God. We need help, we need a rescue plan.
The fact is, if we could rescue ourselves, there would have been no reason for Jesus to come, but Jesus did come. He laid down His life, shed His blood, took on our guilt, and died in our place. He paid the price for our sin that we couldn’t pay.
The question is, how can I personally have a relationship with Jesus? How can I put my trust in Him, know my sins are forgiven, have peace, and a hope for eternity with Him?
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation" (Romans 10:9-10). We are to BELIEVE in Jesus Christ.
The Bible says in Romans 10:13, "Whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved." In coming to Him (truly giving ourselves to Him), we are saved.
Also in that context is Romans 10:17, where it says "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." We study the Bible, the Word of God, to learn about Jesus.
The most famous verse on salvation is John 3:16 -
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Salvation is having faith in Jesus Christ. In a great chapter on faith (Hebrews 11:1 and forward) we learn "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." "Faith" itself is evidence that we now belong to Him. Jesus is the "Author" of our faith (Hebrews 12:3).
Pray this prayer:
Father, I come to you right now, in the Name of Jesus Christ. I need You, Lord. I am so tired. I have sinned, Lord, and my sins are before me. I cannot bear them, and I give myself to You, who died for my sins and for me. I am Yours, Lord, and You are mine. I surrender my life to You, my Savior. I receive You now into my heart and life. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Jesus Christ is praying for you that the Holy Spirit will fill you and help you. Jesus said, "I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of Truth, whom the world it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you" (John 14:16-17).
Study the Bible and pray for understanding: "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15).
