PRAYER IS POWERFUL AND EFFECTIVE. PRAYER IS A RELEASE OF FAITH THE MOVES THE HAND OF GOD !
Jesus is coming soon, in fact we're in the final countdown. Until that day, we're called to stay the course and live for God. Life isn't easy and it's not likely to get any easier. Life needs to be nurtured with prayer and we want to believe God with you. Please submit your prayer requests below. All requests submitted are handled with deepest concern and confidentiality. If we can post your prayer request on this page, please indicate this on your request.
God custom designed and created you for a purpose, to do His will. Getting to know what the Lord wants you to do and accomplishing the things He has prepared in advance for you to do, will shape every part of your life.
The will of God for your life is the most important thing you can do. At the heart of knowing the will of God for your life is prayer. We’ve added this monthly feature with different topics that you can pray over your life. I pray that this will be a blessing for your life and encourage you in your walk of faith.

THE POWER OF PRAYER.
You'll never make right choices without prayer. Regular prayer. Real prayer.
Wait! Don't panic. You may think prayer is a real drag. You may think it's hard or boring. Your understanding of prayer may come from your childhood or from listening to grown-ups talk to God in thee's and thou's or six-syllable theological words you never heard of.
Relax. Prayer is simply talking to God about your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. God really does understand modern English (even the bizarre language spoken by your brother or sister). You can be totally confident that God hears you when you pray. In fact, God eagerly waits for you to come to him in prayer. You are his child, and he values every minute you spend with him!
Why is prayer so great?
1. Prayer helps you to focus on God. It helps you get to know him better. The psalmist said, "Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always" (Psalm 105:4, NIV). When you pray, you "unplug" your mind from the television and CD player and "plug in" to God.
2. Prayer is intimacy with God. When you pray, you discover what it means to be intimate with God. The Bible says that when Moses entered the tabernacle, "The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend" (Exodus 33:11, NIV). That is what happens in prayer. You become friends with God. He becomes a deep, intimate, personal friend who loves you unconditionally.
3. Prayer is a vital weapon in making right choices. If you want to stop lying, pray; praying will add God's power to your desire. If you want to be more loving toward your brother, pray; that will add God's help to your good intentions. If you need more patience, more compassion, or more self-control, pray; prayer will add God's energy to your efforts.
When we pray, God takes action! So, pray. Pray for yourself. Pray for your family. Pray for your friends. And watch God work.
REFLECT: How often do you pray (not counting grace at meals)? How often do you think you should pray? When is a good time for you to pray every day? (Morning? After school? Bedtime?) How long do you plan to pray every day? (Five minutes? Ten minutes? Fifteen? More?) Tell someone else about your commitment to pray.
PRAY: Make a list of four or five kinds of right choices you need to make more often or more consistently (like honesty, compassion, faithfulness, fairness, and so on). Pray for at least one item every day, asking God to help you develop that virtue.

DEFEATING THE INTERNAL ENEMY
Memory Verse: The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. Psalm 25:14 (NKJV)
From the Pastor's Desk: The worst enemy is the enemy from within. Sometimes it may be a close friend or a close relation eating you up and smiling with you playing innocence. It could be difficult if you have no revelation as to who is responsible. These prayers address that. Pray, for the attack is not from the outside. It is from within. Aggression is the key word in this prayer. Pray with violence.
Meditate on Daniel 2:22

God puts Pastors in our lives for a reason. Pastors pray for us, they teach us, sit with us during hard times and rejoice with us in life's triumphs. Many times, Pastors are in a lonely place and they deal with things that the rest know nothing about. They pour out often with little thanks or appreciation ( besides maybe an annual Pastor Appreciation Sunday). Pastors are human and aren't perfect. They need godly wisdom and discernment to lead by example and are held to a high standard of accountability . They and their families are often under attack by the enemy. Many Pastors simply wear themselves out ministering to people who expect them to be on call 24/7 and to be all things to all people. Being a Pastor is not who you are but a calling that you have. We need to bear these ones up in support and prayer who have been obedient to that call They need to hear from God daily and they need to be encouraged. No one follows the call to ministry for pats on the back but it sure goes a long way when you get one once in a while ( speaking as a Pastor myself)
We've opened up this part of Patch for you to post a picture or a bit of info, ministry updates etc on your Pastor or a missionary you may know. Let's keep them in prayer and stand by them as they share Christ in whatever corner of the vineyard God has placed them.
